“Thank you for taking a look at my blogs, my thoughts and words. I hope they prove useful, that they energise and encourage you and above all else empower you to live the life you want to live. No more hoping and dreaming about it – let’s make it happen! Go on. Meet your potential…”
Vincenzo’s view… The 31st Olympiad is underway in Brazil and we watch in wonder at the endeavour of athletes the world over as they pit themselves against one another in their chosen discipline. There are those that dismiss the Olympics over issues of cheating, political corruption, social inequality and so on. All legitimate concerns. Yet the Olympics should also be viewed as a celebration of the human spirit. As men and women go forth to be the best they can be, representing themselves and the people of their nation. They have sacrificed and now strive to be their best. The Olympics is the window of life, of struggle, of success and sometimes not quite hitting the mark. Yet these athletes continue on to the finish. They don’t give up. And neither should you. Your life is worth living, from beginning to end. Go on. Meet your potential…
It was said… The most important thing in the Olympics Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have conquered but to have fought well. Pierre de Coubertin.
I like the picture… Struggle no more, let the sea rise: liquid painting by Scott Richard.
